Intel has announced a brand name that will be used to market the Nehalem product on Sunday on 10 August 2008. Intel will designate all Nehalen Intel-based processors, including Extreme Edition "Intel Core i7," not "Core 3", as many thought previously.
Intel has not confirmed the mendetil classification Nehalem, but they said that the clock speed will have a different number of different models as usual. Intel i7 cpu clock has a maximum of 2.66 GHz to 3.2 GHz.
Intel decided to maintain the brand "Core" because of the positive values associated with a series of products. Sean Maloney, EVP and GM corporate Intel said that the "name brand PC Core is our mainstay and will remain the mainstay PC brand in the future. From now on, Intel will invest even more the cost of brand marketing for Core and Core i7."
Brand i7 does not have a direct relationship with the historical development of the previous Intel CPUs. Net burst (Pentium 4) is the seventh generation of Intel architecture. According to Intel themselves, they choose the "i7" only because the name is short and good hearing.
